For shapeshifter Carag and his close friends Brandon, Holly, and Lou, another school year at Clearwater High is about to begin. However, before they can settle into their new routines, the Woodwalker Council faces a serious decision that could change everything. Carag’s mentor and one of the school’s most influential supporters, Andrew Milling, has been accused of attacking humans, and the council must determine whether he is truly responsible. Caught between loyalty and doing what is right, Carag struggles with a difficult choice. He wants to expose Milling and stop his dangerous plans, but Milling offers him something Carag has always longed for: the chance to meet and return to his real puma family. Now Carag must decide whether to protect the truth or accept Milling’s tempting promise.
