George Hardy is a quiet shepherd who has a rather unusual nightly routine. Every evening, he reads detective stories aloud to his beloved sheep, never imagining that they are actually listening and understanding more than he thinks. When a strange incident suddenly disturbs the peaceful life of the farm, the sheep decide to put their hidden knowledge to use. Determined to uncover the truth, they begin following clues, observing suspicious behavior, and investigating the humans around them. As their investigation becomes more complicated, the clever sheep prove that solving a mystery is not only a job for humans and that even the most unexpected detectives can uncover the truth.
